Francisco Partners predicts 'golden harvest' for Private Equity between 2025 and 2028

In an analysis of the current situation in the capital markets, DJ Deb, co-founder of Francisco Partners, offered a valuable perspective on Private Equity cycles. According to the executive, the sector is going through a period of transition: while the harvests (vintages) from 2021 to 2024 are expected to present pressured returns due to the interest scenario and entry valuations, the period starting in 2025 promises to be exceptional for capital allocation.

Francisco Partners has just consolidated US$21 billion in new capital commitments, reinforcing its 'dry powder' for the next cycle. Deb highlights that, although the exit market still requires time for a full recovery, the conditions for new investments in the next three years are highly favorable. For investors monitoring the US market, FP's positioning signals a window of opportunity to enter assets with more realistic valuations before the full resumption of appetite for M&A and IPOs.
